Hullo,
I'm a newbie in hardware probably shouldn't have tried it myself, but what is done is done and i've got myself some trouble.
Firstly, i got a card today which will allow me to play new games adequately. I was using a GeForce FX 5200 64MB card before. What i did was, to simply unscrew it, and then pull it out. However a small(tiny) , somewhat L-shaped piece(plastic) came of as well. I'm not sure if that's got to do with anything.
I then put the new card in and then pushed it just nicely (didn't want to force) and screwed it back .After putting back all the necessary cables, i tried booting it up. The monitor then showed 'No Signal'.
After this, i tried putting back the old card back in, this time the monitor showed a 'No Communication'. After this i heard a sound coming from the cpu (?). (probably 2sounds)
mb: Abit KD7 KT400
psu: 350w
Anyone here can figure out what's wrong? tia!
