Problem after installing GeCube Radeon 9600 Pro

Hullo,

I'm a newbie in hardware probably shouldn't have tried it myself, but what is done is done and i've got myself some trouble.

Firstly, i got a card today which will allow me to play new games adequately. I was using a GeForce FX 5200 64MB card before. What i did was, to simply unscrew it, and then pull it out. However a small(tiny) , somewhat L-shaped piece(plastic) came of as well. I'm not sure if that's got to do with anything.

I then put the new card in and then pushed it just nicely (didn't want to force) and screwed it back .After putting back all the necessary cables, i tried booting it up. The monitor then showed 'No Signal'.

After this, i tried putting back the old card back in, this time the monitor showed a 'No Communication'. After this i heard a sound coming from the cpu (?). (probably 2sounds)

Anyone here can figure out what's wrong? tia!

If your Geforce FX5200 is an AGP card then that small piece of plastic may very well be part of the AGP retainer arm.
When you put the new graphics card in place you will have to push firmly to seat it.

Also remember to remove all the Nvidia drivers before you put in the new Radeon graphics card.
