Probably simple problem with IBM Deskstar

a year ago I bought an IBM HD. It is an IBM Deskstar 60 GXP or whatever.
I was using it fine one day then the next day my computer would not recognize it, like there was nothing there.
I downloaded the latest IBM fitness tester thing and it could not see it.
I hooked it in every combination master slave everything.
I even tried it on the secondary master and slave but still no luck.

Is there a fix, and if not how do I tell the warranty date, there is no good help on the IBM website.

Please help if you know what is up.

Thanks

Try connecting it to a different power lead (not one on the same cable) and also use a different IDE cable. If the BIOS still doesn't detect it, it's toast. DFT will get you nowhere unless they BIOS can at least see it.
