Probably a dumb question?

Is there any way to you can tell that you have copper interconnects on a new Athlon? I read that the core color is either green or purple, but which signifies copper?

Also, can I specify that I want copper instead of aluminum when I purchase the chip?

the only dumb question is the one not asked 🙂

you used to be able to tell before, but now the plants all use different colors and the difference between a blue/green core from before is nearly nonexistent now. there are many blue cores that will OC further then a green core, and many greens that beat the blues. there's no way you can specify which version you get- it's all in the luck of the draw.

I heard that all Tbirds now come with copper interconnects, is that true? Or do they still use copper/aluminum, and is it the luck of the draw?
