you know how in windows you go into folder options and theres a choice there that says "remember each folder's view settings", and when you click it off whenever you go into a folder for the first time its always in icon mode and with no status bar? that annoys the hell outta me. is there any way to change it so that it starts off by default as a list with the status bar?

nope, and that actually doesn't exist in xp anymore anyways (at least not in the same sense)

That'll last for a while but Winny eventually forgets and goes back to BIG ICONs for me at least. Most annoying.

hrmm... that's NEVER happened to me.. from win98 on. The ONLY time it does in winXP is when i browse my network and load up a directory w/ mp3's.. it does it's big icon media madness.

i'm using classic windows folders too.. no web...
