I have an older P180 PC that only has an ISA card:eek:
Yes, just one slot that is an ISA (Compaqs Rule
:))

I thru in a Addtron ISA 10Base-T card. All setup and working fine. It can see itself in network neighborhood, but cannot see anyone else or ping anyone. No other PCs on the LAn can see it either. My LAN is 10/100... Isn't 10Base-T compatible with 10/100?? Shouldn't it work? I have never installed an ISA network card prior. Is there something I'm missing possibly that I am not used to?
THanks for any help.

I know there is not much info here... there is nothing really to mention. Everything seems to be configured correctly... workgroup.... and the rest all good to go.

What IRQ/DMA/IO settings are you using on the card? Does Windows agree with these settings?

It should work. I'm using ISA 10 Mb and PCI 10/100 Mb NICs with my Linksys 5 port switch, and everything works fine, though I can really notice the speed different when copying files at 10 Mb vs 100 Mb.

Do you have all the network protocols you need installed on the P180?

ISA NICs have jumper or DOS utility configuration, and the configured settings have to match what you see in Control Panel.
