Private P2P

I remember reading a while back that Nullsoft had a program that was like Kazaa but was a private p2p network rather than public. Only people within that network were given access to the shared files. Does this sound familiar?

Is it possible to connect to two private networks with one Waste account? Like I wanna join the AT one and create one for me and my friends, would I be able to pull information/files from both?

i don't think you can do that since each account needs a key. i tried putting a shortcut to another partition in my shared waste folder and when someone tried to look in it, they just downloaded the shortcut itself.

Maybe I don't quite understand your question, but why not just join both networks?

Because ICQ/MSN doesn't allow sharing to multiple people.

Edit. Has anyone used this program/set it up? How well does it work? What is the interface like? Can I do searches like in Kazaa and just DL from other people?

It is not that complicated. Yes you can search with it. You need to open up ports on your router. You need to make sure you have the public key for the person you want to connect to and that they have your public key.

Then either you connect using his ip address or he connects using your ip address.

I got it up, thanks! I was putting in their usernames rather than their IPs. What do you do it someone has a dynamic IP though?
