Private Headers ...? wot r they...?

My free Web host has started using 'private headers' on the site.

I discovered this yesterday 'cuz my links would'nt load for me, so I disabled ZoneAlarm to see if it was blocking something.

Sure enough ,,, I had to 'Enable private headers' for my links to load.

What are they for... and what can they do ...?
