Cincinnati video surveillance company CityWatcher.com now requires employees to use VeriChip human implantable microchips to enter a secure data center

Gee...I don't know, they could....umm...lets see...oh yeah, QUIT.

The employees that are being asked to do this work in sensitive, and I am quite sure classified areas. If they want to continue that path then this is something they will need to agree to, otherwise step aside and let someone who is willing to undergo this procedure take your place. Pretty simple really.

Albrecht and McIntyre, who are Christians, also have religious concerns about RFID chip implants. In their latest book, "The Spychips Threat: Why Christians Should Resist RFID and Electronic Surveillance," the pair explain how plans by global corporations and government entities to broadly deploy RFID could usher in a world that bears a striking resemblance to the one predicted in Revelation, the last book of the Bible.

According to Revelation, at some future point people will not be able to buy or sell unless they are numbered and bear a mark on their hand or forehead.

Something the Republicans will be absolutely ORGASMIC towards!

And they will finally have to decide between the Almighty dollar or the Almighty God.

Gotta love choice eh? What happens when this is the status quo, even to clock in at the local burger joint?

What happens when some schools start thinking, well we could keep track of kids better if we chip them all.

Hmm? Guess you can just choose not to go to school or work.

A microchip implant should not be allowed to be requested for by any workplace, period.

They fail to realize that it will inevitably come, no matter their efforts to stop it. But off religion and ON TOPIC, companies can't even require that you be a certain height, race, color, or be in any certain health. It would be wrong to limit their employees to those who want to have computers inside them.

translation 10 years from now if allowed to continue

The people that are being asked to do this work are everyday folks, and I'm quite sure thye are able to do this. If they want to continue on the chipless path, then they will need to refuse it, and otherwise let others that want to work, travel, own a home, have credit, go to school, or get married do it and stop complaining. Pretty simple.

No problem--just get SCOTUS to rule all that anti-discrimination crap unconstitutional. Problem solved!

I want chips implanted in me! Where do I sign up?!

I'd love to have a cell phone and gadgets readily available at all times.

When did voluntary turn into required?
Are you changing the story for your own motives like the private healthcare thread?
Naw...

Exactly. It is a good idea, but that is like, or worse than, depending on you point of view, requiring people who are fat to have one of those things that lessens your appetite put in you, if you are a mechanic and can't fit under a car. My mind thinks of funny images at the thought. And BTW, maybe you didn't get my message, catnap. I think that these are good, but should never be required.

I agree with you on this 100%. Looks like it might be time for me to be getting out of the defense contractor business. After all, I am working around classified info everyday. Ain't no way in hell that I am getting implanted.

With the way the Republicans worship the wealthy, I know which one they'll pick! ;)

Fair enough, but I still don't trust companies to not jump on this and make it required (or at least discourage noncompliance) if they can find a benefit from it (aside from just secuirty access purposes).

Oh look...another right winger ignoring the "baby steps". Maybe one day you can open your eyes and realize things do not happen overnight. :)

Reminds me of Office Space and Flare. They say "voluntary", but you can bet the pressure will be on.
