Printing problem

This is very strange but I am sure someone will have an idea. Lexmark Z52 printer.....only prints pictures and headers......no text. Tried it on web pages, word doc and the printers own "test page". On the test page you get the Microsoft logo on the top left hand side but nothing else. Down loaded and installed latest drivers, no change. Now I'm stuck.
