Printing from vpn computer

I'd like to use the printer that I have on by local network to print from my work Laptop. My laptop is running vpn through my router to our corp offices. The local network currently can't be seen by the laptop. The computers on the local network are all running XP and the laptop is running W98.

Ideas?

Are your local and remote networks using the same IP scheme? What make/model of printer? Have you tried adding the printer through a standard TCP/IP port?
