Printing an e-mail

This is a basic issue - I get an e-mail with graphics and text.

If I say print it, it prints the browser window with the e-mail way off cut off to the right.

With some e-mails if there's one graphic I can 'open in new tab' and print it, but with others that only opens one
graphic from the e-mail.

I could try to do something more involved like print to pdf and use a graphics editor or something, but why is this such a mess to do? Windows 10 and Chrome.

For the ones which are cut off, try setting the print profile to "landscape" (vs portrait which typically is default). Use "print preview" option as a check before actual printing..

Are you using the actual print option 'in' the webmail itself or the standard Ctrl+P to print? If you use Ctrl+P or the browser menu to print, it will come out just like you described. You need the webmail print option so it knows how to format it for an 8x11 sheet of paper.

I see no print option in the e-mail. I'm using the browser print command.

It works for some e-mails, not for others.

This is why it's printing part of the browser as well. There is a print option in the webmail itself, sometimes it's just hard to find. What email service are you using and i can check for you?

This is just in hotmail.

Some e-mails have a 'print e-mail' button, but that seems up to the sender.

It'll work on any email. You just need to open one, look up in the top right of the email where it says 'reply'. Click on the little down arrow on the right side of the 'reply' button. A menu with about 17 options will drop down. 5th from the bottom is the 'Print' option. Once you click that it will format the email for printing and have a printer icon at the top of the email.

OK thanks, I'll take a look. What a terrible UI to hide a print option under the "reply" button.
