Printers! Struggling for days. Help and ideas appreciated

I have been using Lexmark Z42 and it works good.

I sold it since I have to leave the country.

Now, I am shopping for a new printer for like a month now. I could not make up my mind due to cost issues.

There is only two thing that is important to me.
a) Print Quality to naked eye
b) Ink Cost (Cost per Page for photo printing)

I emphasis more towards photo printing.

A lexmark Z42 cost little while a Canon S800 could cost more than 250 dollars.
The only thing that are keeping me away from Lexmark now is due to it high ink cost.

My only question now is that would be spending on the more expensive Canon S800 (which say you will save ink cost), justifiable if I plan to print not more than 40 A4 size pictures a month.

----------

Furthermore, anyone of you can recommend me other modals? As long as the picture quality is better than the Z42, i am satisfied. By the way, I use Photo Catridge to print in Lexmark and I choose S800 is because it has special photo catridge while S600 doesn't.

thanks

I ordered an epson stylus photo 875dc off of epsons online store refurb for 89+free ship+free usb cable in early january. I dont know if they still have those deals but the printer has worked great for me.
