printer woes

Last week my wife came yelling that our newish printer stopped working. It had a paper jam that she couldn't clear. So here I go thinking, mmm, favors time! I start clearing out all the junk (hole punch confetti) and turn the printer back on. Still no go. I look in the back paper feeder, and it's clear. I was scratching my head over this for about a week, doing searches for a fix, but could not get it working.

Fast forward to yesterday, she's desperately needing the printer. I try again and look at the outgoing paper tray and noticed a small glint where the paper sensor is located (this was not there last week and must have become dislodged when i shook the printer upside down). I started to pry at the object and noticed taht it was a bit bigger than i had first thought. I finally got the stupid thing pulled out and to my amazement found that my wife had somehow got one of ponytail holders stuck. Boy i was pissed, and rightly told my wife so. Thankfully she made it up to me 😉
