Printer Sharing Problem

I used my old lexmark printer on my network for printer sharring, but when I just purchased a newer Hp F300 series it will not share the printer at all. What are some ways to fix this. I am using it for my laptop and printer sharring is enabled on both computers and none of the firewalls areblocking the programs used for the printer and the firewalls are also set for printer sharring as well. Running Xp sp2 any help is much appreciated.
