Printer Sharing Between XP and 2K

Hey all,

I'm having problems sharing a printer between XP Pro and 2K.

My HP LaserJet 4P is attached to the XP Pro machine. It's shared and the Everyone group has Full Security and Permissions. My notebook has Win2K on it and when I go through the add printer wizard and browse the network for the printer, it doesn't show up at all. My Thinkpad with XP Pro on it sees the shared printer fine and I can add it no problem.

Anyone know what the deal is?

Try installing the driver locally and re-routing the port to the network share (local port = \\servername\sharename).
