Printer Problems

I have a HP deskjet 890C. When I turn on the printer I hear it fire up and then I see the page feed and power light blinking. I have tried replacing the printer cartridges and I still have the same problem. I have tried unplugging it and I still have problems. One day it started to work just fine out of the blue. Now it is not working again...

Any ideas?

Does the printer have a self diagnostic?

Have you tried HP Support? They have several issues listed. Also they have solutions for you to try. I've taken the time to link directly to the page for your printer model...

I went to the HP website thank you but it didn't helpmy situation. What could cause my printer to go haywire!?

It turns on...
I hear the cartridge move...
It tries to pickup paper and feed it through
Then the two light start blinking...

Any ideas?

According to the document, sounds like it might need to be serviced....you could still try the self-test to see if it can print at all
