Hey all, i am tryin to help one of my grandparents friends... they have a Gateway... it was so screwed up would not shut down, gettin errors all over......i fixed all of them except for one... the printer...

the problem is is that i can print for the web, yet i can't print from file or from Word..?!?!

The printer is an HP DESKJET670c.. i would remove it, but i am not sure if she has a disc..

If i WOULD remove it, could i use the 680c driver?

Thanks

B

If you want to be really safe, look for the .inf file for the printer and copy it to disk cause that's what you would need. Then you could copy format or remove it and reinstall if you wanted. The driver should be fairly safe with Windows anyway for that printer so I would first copy it and try the printer without installing the one from disk and if that works, then forget about the diskette.
