Printer Monitor utility?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a printer monitor utility/program Or OS(if possible?) which canbe installed on an old computer(like a print server) Or existing Networked Computer, which will monitor and store data about print jobs and where the job/command originated from, etc..

I need something free(open source) or really cheap cus it willbe used on my Home network of 8 computers.

thanks, Cups looks a lil tricky for a guy like me w/ no knowhow of Unix or Linux .. Is there any windows software available which can handle print jobs etc.
