printer isnt printing

im using a Lexmark E250dn printer. whenever i click print it doesnt print. when i click the icon on the bottom right corner of the screen the status says there is an error in printing. how do you fix this problem?
 
First thing to do is check whether the printer has a hardware problem. I don't know this printer, but most have some means of printing a test page directly from the printer itself. You'll have to look up the instructions! Try that first, then come back.
 
ive already tried test printing but it doesnt work. ive also gone through the troubleshooting for it many times as well. it still doesnt work.
