Printer is printing with faded edges

This is a laser printer. When I print a regular document, the left and right sides are faded. The center of the page seems to print as it should. I've tried shaking my toner back and forth, but that doesn't improve print quality.

This is what I do know, however.
1) I am using a remanufactured toner cartridge
2) I refilled my cartridge with toner from TonerKits.com

I feel that there's a good chance that I bought a cartridge that wasn't really suitable for refilling (it was $30, genuine+new cartridges are $70), but I'd like to know what others think. I don't know much about printers at all.

Could be the remanufactured cartridge did not include a replacement of the drum. Factory new cartidges have drums with a very short life, and a quality remanufacture replaces that component. It is the drum that causes the uniform distribution of toner prior to being fused.

Yeah. I can pretty much guarentee you'll get perfect results with a new toner cart. Even an off brand new compatible cartridge would probably resolve it.
