Printer Install Issue

I just got a new Canon S630 to replace my broken HP.

I uninstalled the HP driver, then installed the Canon driver.

Tried to print a test page, and then no printer . . . all the printer ports disappeared!

I get the error message:
"Printer operation cannont continue due to lack of resources. The print subsystem is unavailable."

What the heck do I need to do? Tried rebooting, a windows repair, banging my head on the wall.

Any ideas?

What OS are you using? I'm not too familiar with that printer either--is it a USB connection??

Honestly try uninstalling any Canon stuff and reboot your machine (WITH YOUR USB CABLE UNPLUGGED). Then follow the set up and installation instructions EXACTLY. If you aren't using Win2K or WinXP, initially setting up a printer via a USB connection can be hell. Good luck.
