Printer Ink

Well that time has come, I need ink for my printer. What is the best place now a days to get it for a good price and not have it be junk that just doesn't work after a little bit of time. I use HP 56 and 57 cartridges.

Consider buying a Continuous Ink Supply System (CISS) for your printer. I did so 18 months ago and have not had to buy cartridges since. Search eBay for one specifically for your printer.

Well is it really cost effective to do that? I don't print very much, so ink does last a long time for me.

They are the same price as everyone else. If it ends up being better just to go with them or Walmart etc, I will. Just hoping there is something better out there.

OP, see above. What make/model printer do you have?

Just go buy some fucking ink. What do you think you are doing, buying a house?

You use HP 56 (black) and HP 57 (color). Looks like they're around $20-$25 for black and $30 for color. Buy.com has some good prices for them.

I saw your post, checked into it and didn't see anything for my model. HP PSC 1315.

Agreed. No one has yet developed a CISS for this model. Most people are aware of printer manufacturer's business models, i.e. sell printers cheaply ... get 'em when they need ink. If you plan to keep the printer for a long time consider buying in quantity on eBay:

I was amazed to see how few pages one of those cartridges yields (190 page). My wife prints all day and we could care less about ink. I have one of these:

The ink tanks are clear and you can see when you are getting low. Replacement ink (6 4oz bottles) costs only $20. Pour in the ink and print away for a looong time.

Good luck.

My only Black Friday purchase this year was a HP 56 ink cartridge. Newegg had a 25% off deal, I ended up paying $16 shipped.
