Hey guys. My parent's just bought a Lexmark X73 all in one printer. I installed it according to the poster. Install software, then the USB cord. Did that, printed fine scanned fine. I leave and my sister uses my comp and it crashes. Now when I come back I see the Unplug or Eject Hardware icon in my taskbar and a "USB Device" has a yellow exclamation mark. I can print but now I can't print or install. I try to un-install the printer/software and re-install and I still get a USB conflict. I don't get it. I deleted all files related to Lexmark and same thing. WTF is going on here? What is with these new printers where you can't just plug it in and install drivers? Oh and i'm on win2k

I don't know aboutW2K, but in XP and other versions of Windows, USB devices and most of the new printers are installed software first - then hot plug the device.
