I have an HP Deskjet 882C that has bad rollers or whatever they are called becuase I have to manually feed each sheet of paper into the printer. Well sometimes it will get messed up and just start printing a bunch of junk and symbols on the paper. I have to just keep feeding paper into it until it fixes itself whihc sometimes takes 30 sheets of paper. I hate to waste the ink and paper so is there a way to clear the pritner's memory so I dont' have to go through all htat trouble getting the printer back online or do i just have to let it run its course? Thanks.

Yes, either turn the power off via the switch or pull the AC cord from it's source !!! That should clear memory.

I have a printer in my closet that if I plug in, will start printing pages of jibberish. Its printed over 1000 pages so far. I have no idea when it will stop or how to stop it. But if I were to try to use it again, it would continue printing its gibberish.

That is interesting. What brand of printer is it ? Is all of it's memory removable ? And if so, have you tried removing it. Short of that, maybe the manufacturer can give you a control code to re-initialize it.

I had that printer a few years ago. Very little memory in it. When you turn it of the memory is wiped. Check your print queue to see if there ajobs still waiting to be printed. You can try removing and reinstalling the drivers.

try putting a little soap on the pickup rollers. It ought to cure your manual feed problem
