"Print to PDF" printer

I've used things like win2pdf and PDFCreator and they basically do what I want, with one exception -- they prompt the user for a filename.

What I want is for the "printer" to just accept the printjob and save the job to a pdf file with "automatic" filenaming.
I'm imagining something like:
"printjob01.pdf"
"printjob02.pdf"
...etc

From the user app perspective, i just want it to respond like it printed successfully -- with no interaction.

Does anyone know of such a thing? Or a trick in using win2pdf, pdfcreator, etc. that accomplishes what I want?

thanks

PDFcreator does that. You have to set it up in the options menu. I can't remember how to enter that menu though. 🙁

Oooo, got it. Open the PDFcreator print monitor/Printer menu/Options/autosave.
Jeez... I must have been to that screen 6 times and never even noticed it.

edit: aaaahhhh... it wasn't that screen I looked at -- I'd gone through "printer-->properties" the half-dozen times.

Thanks!
