First off, thanks to all the members here...very informative and helpful forum that I'm glad I found.
Upstairs I have DSL--> dsl modem/router. My desktop is connected to one port. A Linksys wireless access point (.11b) BEFW11S4 is connected to another port.
Now I have a printer (minolta 1350w w/usb and parallel ports) that I want to connect downstairs on my wireless network so I can print from my laptops not have to go upstairs to retrieve it. I can't run wires from upstairs to downstairs.
How can I do this? I am guessing a wireless print server or a wireless router w/built in print server will work, such as this one: dlink di-713p
I'm not sure how I would configure this or if it would even work. I think (noob here) that the new wireless router w/print server would have to be set up as a client of the AP? I'm not sure how to do this either.
Any insights/answers are appreciated.
