Pringles are just potato flour crackers shaped like chips. How do you think they get every single chip the be the exact same shape?

Pexto potato brake. 😉

I don't know if this is still their slogan or not, but for me it's true that once I pop I can't stop. Especially with my favorite flavor, ranch, when I open a new can I have a really hard time stopping and have to seriously force myself to not eat more than half a can in one sitting.

Do you agree? Let's be honest, they're incredible.

You're kidding.

Well, for the most part, the chip is just the medium these days if we're talking "flavored" chips..........(ranch, cheezy, spicy, onion, etc. etc.)

One thing I've really come to like that I'd have NEVER thought is how much I like "baked" chips.

Baked Lays
Baked Doritos
Baked Ruffles
etc.

I was at a party a couple weeks ago & they had some "regular" Doritos out....................whew!..............I could hardly choke 'em down. They actually tasted STALE to me. And that ain't no joke. I drink diet soda, but I'm really not a huge fan of diet..........(i.e. If regular Coke/Pepsi had zero calories I'd simply drink that forever).......so I can humbly choke that pill, but I'd honestly be pleased w/ baked chips for the rest of my life.

regular doritos? you mean the cheese flavored ones?

They're ok for potato crackers, but they're not great and they're not chips.

Is your favorite kind of cheese Velveeta, by chance? 😛

when i was younger i thought htis was true, now that i am older i think they are ok but then again not only am i not a big fan of chips but i think i might dislike all chips

I love Pringles. But then, I love just about any chip.

I can't buy them, though. If I do, I eat them all immediately and get fat. Haven't had chips for months. 🙁

In digital photography, the translucent Pringles can lid can be used to "white balance" digital cameras. The lid is held over the lens and a photo is taken. The result is a whitish blur that is a diffuse image of the ambient light and its color temperature. The Pringles lid photo is then used to set the camera's manual white balance temperature, so that subsequent photos taken in the same light will have more accurate color reproduction.
I'm going to have to try that.

Wow, never thought Pringles would illicit such emtion. I, for one, am pro-Pringle. Not the best chip in the world, but they taste good. Every now and then I'll go on a Pringles kick where I buy a few cans. I rarely eat chips anymore though.

I like them a lot. Jalapeno Cheddar Pringles... mmm

Lays Stax ain't half bad either. A bit thicker and very crunchy. I like the Ranch flavour.

I like Pringles, but they're definitely not potato chips. Kettle chips are the best. I like Cape Cod but just about any decently done kettle chips are much better than Pringles.

Kettle brand salt and pepper chips FTW.

However, I'm also a Pringles Sour Cream n Onion whore and would kill any person on this form for a tube.

Yes!!!! That was the specific brand I was thinking of. And for you weird granola people out there, it's organic.

Mesquite barbeque kettle cooked (lot of good brands, like New York Deli) is the best type of potato chip, period. Jalapeno and other flavors of kettle cooked are also very good. Pringles have a bland baked flavor and I do not know how anyone could consider to them to be the best.

EDIT: I demand a poll 😛
