LCD19D at Newegg

I just got my LCD19D today. The image is fantastic.
Using DVI the picture is pixel-perfect. On every screen I can see detail that was missing on my MAG 800V 19" CRT. I am amazed at how much better this monitor is.
Without a doubt DVI is the only way to go. And if you're on a budget, or just want to save money, this is a great deal.

You'll probably have to spend quite a bit more to get a significantly better monitor than this one.

AHHHH, TOO TEMPTING TOO TEMPTING!!!

I WAS SAVING $ FOR A 21" LCD, BUT THIS IS JUST TOOOOOO TEMPTING!!!

also have a MAG 800V and yes, i'm really tired of non-flat CRT.

SHOOT MYSELF I'M GOING TO BUY IT!!

Tis a damn shame the response time isnt a bit lower, as that is the only thing holding back this LCD from being a solid gamer LCD.

It's tough (and expensive) to find a fast response time in a 19" LCD.
One trick they use with 17" LCD's to get fast response time is to use 6-bit color.
I have a shareware program called MonitorTest. One of the tests (called Pixel Persistance) shows white rectangles moving across the screen.
The rectangles move at 100, 200, 400, 600, and 800 pixels per second. At 400 pixels per second and above, this monitor shows significant "ghosting".
I played Half-Life 2 for about 15 minutes in the Route Kanal section, and didn't notice any problems.
I've watched 4 or 5 movies and haven't noticed any problems.
Look at what gamers say in their reviews on Newegg - that might help you decide.

Thanks for the additional info emeraldsky .... I am in the market for a 19" and I've read so many reviews, with about a 50/50 split on whether gaming is OK on a 25ms response LCD. One good thing, I am currently satisfied with my 19" CRT, so I can afford to wait out a better deal. My original idea was to wait until June to see what came along, but these under $500 LCDs are making it very tempting.

I've had this monitor for about a month now and, IMHO, if you're serious about gaming.... I'd say look elsewhere. I mean I really like this LCD, the picture is awesome, but I mainly use it for graphics. I just upgraded my video card and have been throwing some games and benchmarks on to test it out and I've noticed a lot of ghosting. I only consider myself a casual gamer and it bothers me from time to time. I just think anyone who has like a high end video card and plays a lot of games will be disappointed by the ghosting this monitor gives off. Just something to keep in mind if you really are considering picking this up. For anyone else, it's a great deal for a 19" LCD with DVI.

just bought and used for about a week, i have to say it's absolutely gorgeous. maybe it's just me who haven't seen a 19" LCD before. seriously this babe totally rocks, DVI makes it super sharp graphic and text. tell the truth the girls in sports magazine swimsuit edition makes this true great buy^^. it's almost like... you seeing it in real life. 😛

I had this monitor and I agree, the image quality is great. The response time really bothered me at first, but I got used to it and it was only annoying when watching some videos.
