I keep getting my butt whipped by the first boss chick. I only played for 15 minutes though.
do I just suck?

SOT was so easy.

This game is F**** tough....i am still in the (so called) tutorial level and cannot kill the biatch 🙁

try the thing where you jump over here and slice from behind.. and remember to block!! let her do her combos on you while you are blocking, wait till she finishes than jump/slice and block again.

everyone get out and get a gamepad, Saitek P880 Dual Analog. Its $19,99 at either GameSpot or CircuitCity.
I researched quite a bunch gamepad reviews and found this is one (if not THE) best game-pad for PC.
Install the sw from CD, then get the updated drivers from the saitek website, install them.

Go into the POP:WW game's options, control, game-pad, click on "defaults"..then you're ready to rock 🙂

I never had a gamepad before - but this game (and probably a bunch others) ROCKS with a gamepad...believe me 🙂

I got this for PC last night and I unistall didnt like it.. I played the first one for xbox, which could be the reason.

What gamepad is everyone using? Just an xbox controller with the adaptor or?

I'm useing the Saitek P2500 and it is doing ok. I usually use my Nostromo N52 in combat games but POP2
is much easier to play with this type of controller, in my opinion.

i would almost describe it as "fighting game"....whow there are still more moves to discover....eg. did you try the strangulation/steal moves ? 🙂 This game reminds me a lot of these Kung-Fu movies, or "hidden tiger, crouching dragon"....fun fun fun 🙂

Also...i think that POP:Sands of Time was one of the most *underrated* games ever....means they say that it actullay flopped and they selled much less than what they expected last year. But this game is/was really great. I started and first thought its just another of these "jump, run, lever, trap" games...(which actually is true 🙂 )...but after 1/3 in the game it got really good...and some levels were really, really well done, technically, graphically.

If someone wants a break of FPS gaming i can really highly recommend this two games.

i dont know about the xbox/ps2 controllers and if there are adapters...but there are a few PC controllers out. They are all USB.

Avoid the "Logitech Dual Action" at all cost...if you read the reviews everyone says how it sucks and loses calibration/breaks after a week.

Better might be the Nyko AirFlo (with the fans to cool the hands...lol)...but people say the fans break easily although the controller seems to be good.

I did NOT see any negative things said about the Saitek Dual Analog Action P880...and i dont know about "Thrustmaster"....so i got me the Saitek and couldnt be happier.

Just got it tonight, havn't gotten to install it yet on my PC but I'll update once I do. I played the first one's demo and thought it was great but never got around to buying it cause I was playing Desert Combat 24/7.

Is it an RPG game?

No, kinda similar to the Tomb Raider series, but with numerous fighting combos and large traps/puzzles to figure out.

I remember this about SoT for the PC.....poor camera handling (IMO) making it difficult to accomplish many jumping puzzles, frenetic fights puntcuating the jumping, and jumping, jumping, jumping!!!!

I got SoT 'cause of the great reviews but didn't play it for more than a couple of nights. Don't get sucked in the the reviews. If there is a demo, do that first. This game is definitely not for everyone (assuming it functions similarly to SoT), especially if you don't like twitch gaming.
