Rison the monarchy are figureheads... They perform ceremonial duties eg:
- Visiting other countries. Sorta like a Prime Minister (ie they improve relations) but without the official business in that respect.
- Are patrons to many charities - this way the charities can get the media coverage / attention they need etc.
