TMZ click baiting? I sure hope so. Always loved his music.

Well, that have the same little snippet in the Minneapolis Star - Tribune so something is going on there. They haven't released the name yet until they notify next of kin. Its a really big studio complex (Paisley Park) used by a lot of people.

I never got the appeal of Prince's music.

he was just fucking weird.

I'll miss him (and his music) as much as I missed Michael Jackson...not at all.

I've never listened to Prince, but I know his huge popularity. Don't know how I managed to miss all his stuff. Just wasn't popular with the people I'm around. Sucks to hear this.

Not a fan of his entire catalog but some of his music was phenomenal.

RIP, a great entertainer

I didn't either until the video I posted up thread. That was the day I learned prince could play guitar like a mother fucker.

Well this sucks.

Then there's the days of "When Doves Cry" posts that will surely follow on social media. I was gonna suggest instaban for this thread but I'm already too late!

Any indication what he died of - only read the last page of posts.

Anyway, I was never a fan but that seems really young to die of natural causes so I'm going to guess either drugs or disease. It's weird that he would have been able to perform and then drop dead. I guess he must have really pushed himself for that last concert.

Dammit. That really sucks. I was a big fan back in the day. Went to First Avenue just to see the club where Purple Rain was filmed when I was in Minneapolis. Like him or not he was an amazing songwriter and musician and a big influence on 80s and early 90s music. Such a shame.

Only really ever listened to When Doves Cry, Little Red Corvette, and Purple Rain, but he was really talented.
