Have a "cool" weekend forecast of 80°F for high temperatures versus the high 90s/100s I've had all summer since moving to my new place. Turned on a few rigs - hope it gets cool enough by October where I don't have to run the A/C much if at all.

All of August 2018 is pretty much unbearable in Germany, for Germans. (As I mentioned on occasion: No AC at home, nor at work. Both my apartment and my office are facing south.) But luckily, temperatures went down on Friday, right in time for the PrimeGrid challenge. They will go up again on Sunday and will reach unbearable (for me) levels again on Monday. But I moved almost all computers into a single room which I'll avoid to enter. Wouldn't want to give up my current rank easily.

I've got three machines running. One lives in the basement and has no heat problem. I've been able to keep my HTPC going too. But I have to turn off one PC at night because my window air conditioner won't work when it's even slightly cool outside.

I've actually thought about keeping one in the basement. Although, WIFI works mostly better than OK on the ground floor. Everything is set up upstairs. Ain't no way the signal will get through that much stuff.

Also, spiders. We have an understanding. I let them live down there. They eat things that I don't want anywhere else. However, If they come up.... **squish**

Paybacks could be heck.

Thank you for the morning chuckle. :)

Mine live in the basement in spare rooms, I had to move them down there. My A/C couldn't keep up with the heat during GPU runs, it is also a whole lot quieter too. They are on WiFi and I do not seem to have any connection issues, even the one that is on the opposite end of the house. (compared to router location)

Congratulations xii5ku !!!!!

At least your coming up on us I thought you were in "R" thinking it meant race. OTOH @biodoc has his damn high beams on and I forgot my blu blocker sunglasses so I politely signaled and made the pass to put another cruncher in between us. @Tejas_2 is driving like an old man, speed up slow down....speed up slow down....I'm on cruise, no more powa to be had here so I can't make the pass. SETI Germany is just being road whores, 4 wide on a single lane!! Please do wave when you pass and no spitting out the window, your cooperation would be much appreciated.

I resemble that remark! :) You will pass soon enough, I have to leave for a week in the morning for a business trip so will shutdown most of the machines late tonight and in the earlier morning.

No stats today because my internet has been down for about five hours. Some of my work didn't make it to the server in time. But I think we still did pretty well.

Yes, we did!

There was a change of rankings among the top teams, but not affecting our own rank...

It's as if Czech National Team at PrimeGrid Challenges and Czech National Team at Formula Boinc are two entirely different teams.

--------

So, it looks like I got 1/9 of the primes, while participating in roughly 1/11 of all WUs.

(If I added up correctly, I received 1/22 of the credits, totaled over all individual results. If I returned 1/22 of all valid tasks, that means I had business with 1/11 of all successfully completed WUs, right?)

Whew! I was able to stay ahead of a cluster of CNT crunchers on my tail. :D

Tony blew my doors off and also passed a bunch of Seti.Germany crunchers. :D

Congrats to #2 Stefan and #13 crashtech! :)

Nice race TeAm!

I am certainly very happy about my personal result. From #411 in New Year's SoB challenge up to #268 in this PPS challenge and also there's no invalid task in sight, which I'm very delighted indeed.
Now, it's time to move all resources towards SETI Wow! Challenge and hopefully we'll beat our last year's result.
