PrimeGrid cheating?

I saw a BOINC notice from PrimeGrid, that they caught several teams cheating, and were docking them points. Very disappointing to hear. No mention of our TeAm, thankfully. (I can't imagine anyone from TA cheating.)

I applaud the PG admins for catching the cheats, and at the same time, further enhancing the validation cycle to prevent future cheating.

It's a shame that DPC was caught up in it. I've had respect for them since my college DC days.

I have respect for DPC also the stats in the older days was someone to watch.

I'm putting 6 cores on PG's project to help put them back on track and when hcc1 runs out I'll put two HD 7950s for a month since it runs ATI GPU's also. I'm not going to participate in Low Country Festivities one reason is heat and it's to soon to turn on the swamp cooler in the computer room were still running the furnace.

StitchExperimen - I think that's a great idea; I'll switch some of my stuff over to Primegrid as well. Started a GTX 470 running it earlier today when I saw your post and will switch over other graphics cards and machines to it as they become available. As far as I can tell, an ATI 4890 should be able to run it, can anybody confirm that? If so that'd be sweet as I have 2 of those sitting around pretty much collecting dust.

Maybe we can reduce the 1 month of work needing redone to less than that if a decent amount of people switch over to primegrid.
