Interesting result-- accidental. So my new 9950x was accidentally turned on after installing BOINC, no lasso running and default profile was set to 8/8. It was actually running 3 tasks. Before I found what was going on, it had been over 10 hours and was only 80%done. So, I changed the profile, and added lasso. Now they are at 10% done at 15 minutes ! WOW what a difference configuration makes.

going to run a side by side test. A 7950x3d and a 9950x using SOB Both other than RAM speed 6000 vs 7200) they are identical, both 4090 video (but not used in either case).

I will let you know the result. Both will use lasso and the same PG profile.

42317
11.75472222
So for the 9950x, the average is just less than 12 hours (3 units). bios=default
53100
14.75
so for the 7950x3d, the average is just under 15 hours. (2 units only bios = default

and the speedup is 20.38% in windows for SOB.

So, I have to wait until the stats stat ? they are not showing anything, in fact, you can't even click on them yet.

Whenever the timer flips from count down to start to count down to end should be good.
Some check tasks have already been returned.

Well after an hour I finally have everything setup and running. Between lasso and my setup on BOINC and primegrid preferences.....

So, in this, the 9950x and the 7950x3d (one ccd) are the only ones that have finished a unit. The 9950x is about 4.4 hours and the one of the 7950x3d is 5 hours. Again, the huge cache of the 7950x3d is making a difference.

Edit: hw can a computer have 13 hours completed time when we have only been up for about 6 hours ???? Or is run time calculated differently ? I thought it was real time ? I thought only tasks downloaded since the start of the race count ???

I'm sure the task pages for each computer show all of their tasks, but PG will only count GCW downloaded after the start time toward the challenge.

Mark's done more than the entire next team so far!

Holding 1st, but not sure for how long. I only have 9 computers going. tng has 18, and one of those is a 256 core. Its a dual 7763 and probably slow, but with all of those cores (including 6 9950x's) so it may only be a matter of time. But thanks for all the kudos !

Mark, you're still in first. You're looking at the last challenge where you finished 11th.
