Primegrid Challenge

:$ I keep meaning to post about this challenge, but I've been busy IRL and with computer issues.

It's a five-day medium-large LLR challenge. Looks like [thread=2243779]this[/thread] was the most recent challenge on the same project.

I'll try to remember to join.
 
I am in. just built a new Haswell rig with a GTX780 so iam hoping we use
Gpu's this round.

Just CPUs, but your new Haswell with AVX will help alot!

Make sure that you select in Preferences - The Riesel Problem (LLR)

It starts in about 3.5 hours.

Finally finished eight WUs ... most took over 27 hours 🙁

So I turned HT off and OCed a little more - from 21x187=3927 to 21x193=4053.
Hopefully it will still be stable and finish faster 🙂

Wow, this new 4670k is like almost 3 times as fast as my 1055t 😱
 
I will be sending in 11 WUs within the next 5 hours ...
The difference between new CPUs (AVX) and the old ones is horrible:
something like 30 hours vs. 14 hours ...
I have only one AVX-enabled CPU .. 🙁

I was wondering why others made it onto the list so soon!
 
Seven WUs delivered, 4 more to go ... then at least 15 more hours until next delivery.
Memo to myself: time to upgrade 4 computers to new CPUs, mainboards and RAM ... 😉
