Prime95 stress test

I'm running the Prime95 stress test at the moment. Planning to leave it for maybe 24 hours or so and see what happens. I know it's a good test for the CPU but is it also a good test for the memory? I've noticed that some tests use up to 900Mb of memory.
Also, is 24 hours enough?

I'm not sure it's the best test for your CPU; but I'll admit I don't know a ton about it.

Does anyone know if it even touches your floating point units?

Im pretty sure it does. It basically is a tool that tests if your computer is stable under highly demanding conditions of various assortments. It is designed to test all aspects of your cpu and ram. These include all types of operations, read and writes, as well as maximum heat. Hope this helps 🙂

yes and 24 hours is way enough unless your machine has to be super stable i would say 1-2 hours will prove enough stability for regular home use gaming etc
