I've tried to get my X2 to run at 2800MHz and of course did torture test using Prime95. It seems to pass Small FFT but fails Large FFT around 35mins mark. What'd be the culprit? Heat? Memory? HTT?

Edit:

That's what I've been thinking, too. Haven't tried mentest yet.

How many hours did it pass small fft?

Over 8 hours. (Stopped it cause I'm impatient. ;) )

Run the torture test. If it fails quickly but runs the small FTT fine, then it's almost guarenteed to be the RAM.

cpuburn is better suited for testing. It was designed to load as many execution units as possible instead of programs like prime95 which might only stress certain components of the cpu. The bundled burnmmx also stresses memory.
