I have used Prim95 for years. I just got a new motherboard and some new dual channel memory. Everything has been running great for a week, so I decide just to make sure I'm gonna try Prime95.
I went away for 45minutes and it never got past the first test. no errors, but my hard drive is running constantly. I swear its using the disk as the memory source.
I have 1 GB Ram. I tried disabling swap partition, rebooted, and when I tried running Prime 95 a bitch window popped up (from XP?) saying I needed to increase my virtual memory size.
Prime 95 is not saturating my processor, I think mainly because its saturating the Hard Disk. I ran this copy of Prime95 with my old memory.
I'm all too familiar with what Prime95 does with bad memory, but this is weird.. no errors...
Any ideas?
