All those errors in MemTest86 on SPD settings suggest it very likely it's bad RAM. I think he's made the right move to RMA the sucker and eliminate that possibility.

As for Prime being a fair indicator of a stable system, I hate to team up on the poor guy who thinks Prime is irrelevant, but if any apps are screwing up their calculations there's something wrong, regardless of how sensitive that app is. My 2 cents.

I run prime with no errors fine and inconsistant memtest errors. Like i run memtest on cold boot and get error but if start up and reboot inmemtestno errors. Same with windows memtest. First time i start errors. Restart prog no errors.

But in all seriousness, if everything runs fine, games dont crash, windows dont mess up and temps are fine, then your fine.
Not to bash on the excellant ocers on this forum, but in real world apps and everyday use, if you see no probs and but get random inconsistant errors after hours of testing, your stable in my book.

I would only be worried if i get like 20 errors or even a single error after 5 min or prime but after 15-20 hours and one error, you should be fine

Dude,

thats only when i get to the final stages of my oc. Like as i up it 5 mhz fsb each time, i spot check it like 10-20 min. Might take a couple of days to reach full potential but its worth it.

BTW: I learned all my techniques from guys here so I bet people could jump in and say they have the time and 15-20 hours of prime is minimum

BTW what mobo is he running?
I always must refer people to this thread if he has 8rda+
Hyper X has major issues on lots of the boards even other boards when trying to go above 180fsb. I had same prob no matter what i did so i got twinmos and hit 200fsb no problem.
8rda and hyperx issues
Try rmaing it as well because i read people rmaing it this week and recieving a BRAND SPANKIN NEW REVISION which runs flawlessly and is suppose to fix all probs.

If you rma and no go sell it and go twinmos/winbond ch-5. I have link to guy selling 512mb sticks for $100
I sold mine. wouldnt do over 180 and the buyer has it at 220fsb right now on differ board

What motherboard do you have? I've got 3 NF7s all 3 give errors in Prime.

I've tried 4 different sticks of RAM, 4 CPUs, etc. in all 3 motherboards - no difference. Unfortunately, it's too much effort to retrieve all 3 PCs strip them down, and wait 2 weeks for an RMA - so I'm living with it, but plan to replace the POS abits with something else as soon as there is a decent upgrade available.
