Prime95 and SP2005 HELP

New system and I read about everyone using Prime95 to verify OC stability.

Downloaded Prime95 and stress prime 2005.
Installed as directed into same directory.

The problem occurs with stock setup and OC as well. I tried running SP2005 after I overclocked my system. Thats when I saw the problem, so I went back to all stock settings and got the exact same results.
I used Sisoft burn in and my system runs just fine both stock and overclocked, so I believe it is something either in prime95 or in my temp/voltage monitor program.

I use ITE smartguardian from the DFI CD, sent with my mobo.

ISSUE SEEN:
as soon as I start prime95/sp2005, the temp readings on my PWMIC and chipset jump to like 300 degrees C, my chipset then pops down to 0C and rises 1 degree per second or so.
I know they don't hit that temp as my board and the parts arent damaged.
Has anyone seen this issue or know of anything that might solve the problem?
I plan on grabbing a different program to compare the readings, but haven't had time to get one yet.

I am using the latest version from DFI site.

I am running XP without SP2, because after I get the system where I want it, I will be nuking and partitioning my drive.

ooo, i think you may need sp2 for dual cores. check that out.

also, why are you running two different primes or am i misunderstanding you? i run 2x the regular prime 95 without the fancy graphics. like you said, just use two different folders, add a shortcut to each to the desktop and away you go.

but i don't know why your mobo readings are so messed up, hence the question on the bios.

edit- here ya go
Windows XP SP2 is required on computers that have multiple CPUs that support ACPI processor performance states. This requirement includes computers that support the following items:
? Multiple physical sockets
? Multiple-core designs
? Multiple logical threads such as Intel HyperThreading Technology

Thanks for the replies.
I'll update XP this weekend and also create 2 seperate folders. I was actually only using 1 instance of the software. Not running both cores.
I downloaded Prime95 first and then read about SP2005 having the GUI.

To be updated in a day or so
