Hi,
I have just got an asus p5p800se with a pentium d930, i have 2Gb (4 x 512MB) ram
and i have it running at 247 x 15 = 3705 mhz on each core, voltage under the bios at 1.4125v and memory at 3-3-6 and 2.85 volts, and the cpu temp never goes over 50oC at 100% load on both cores. The memory is set to 320mhz under bios, and reports under cpu-z as 196.7mhz (well within its 200mhz limit).
Right, i have had prime 95 running on the torture test for 3 hours initially, then 6 hourse, then 12 hours, and never had any problems. All these run fine without any crash or blue screen etc...
I have run the burn in wizard of sisoft, again no worries having run it for 30 cycles.
I thought that after the above tests my system would be stable. Yet when i run super pi 1M, it sometimes works and sometimes throws up an error, i have tried reducing the cpu speed and even increased the cpu voltage to 1.45v but it still throws up the occassional error in rounding. Sometimes it runs fine, but some times it keeps on erroring.
Does anyone have any idea why this is, should i be worried about it? any solutions?
Thanks...
