Good rule of thumb: if you talk to God, you're religious. If God talks to you, you're delusional.

Umm...God DOES talk to you. Just maybe not in the way you think.

God talks through other people to you, and also guides you mentally.

Kinda difficult to explain, but I am talking through personal experience here.

Bahahaha.

ROFLLLL! This thread is going places.

I'd say he understood just fine. Matthew 17:20:
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
His theory was sound. But apparently, he did not have enough faith.

so other people has nothing to do with it? whenever someone is giving you advice, GOD somehow possess them?

How do I explain something like this to someone who is completely unwilling to have an open mind about it and rather just laugh in my face because it's the easiest way to react to something he doesn't understand and has no interest in understanding.

That or he didn't intrepet the bible well.

Oh tell it on the mountain.

Believe what you want, just realize I have no reason to say anything but the truth.

So, you're saying don't have an agenda behind your anecdotal religious experience(s)?

He should have come to you because obviously you're the only one with the correct interpretations. And you know this because God speaks to you, whereas the priest's belief that God was speaking to him was total BS?

Well then, what is your interpretation?

Have faith in God and he wil guide you and help you do your best at the task at hand. And if the task is impossible for you, others will come to help you to make it happen.

Does this mean if you have enough faith you'll be able to walk on water? Not really.

ROFLLLL! This thread is going places.

you guys are seriously dicks
you are being as closed minded as you claim hyperblaze is being

you made a choice not to believe in god and hyperblaze made the equal and opposite choice to believe in god. All the evidence that you believe points to the lack of god, for someone else is conclusive evidence that there is a god.

nobody is telling you to believe or not believe in anything, just have the decency to respect others.

And hyperblaze, keep you personal religious views out of this

I've learned a long time ago to depend my point of view when it comes to religion, personal experience is the best way to defend oneself. What's the use of quoting the bible to folks who don't believe in it?

I'm not bashing anyone. I see folks bashing God again and TRYING to give them food for thought.

Because most of the time God is speaking to me, I don't even realize it till later on?

No offense, but you've said your piece and going any farther is just going to make you flame bait.

I would like to nominate TheChort for second place.

I don't think they're bashing god, I think they're bashing this priest.
And you. But I'm sure you expected that.
