I agree 100%. They should take a lesson from Google - simple and uncluttered. Pricewatch always had a poor interface, but this is the worst so far. A big mistake that will drive regulars looking for other pricing sites. Personally have come to respect Froogle.com, Shopper.com, and DealTime.com.

A metasearch site that included these various price sites would be nice. While we are making recommendations, I'll include mysimon.com and pricescan.com -- depending on what you need, of course. Pricescan is the best for books.

well I disagree with wanting it to be like all those other price engines you mention and 'google?'

pricewatch should stick with its older designs, the front page... im far from html literate and I could come up with something better then that in a few min

one thing we do all argree on is misleading search results, they just need to be more strict with there sellers, the sellers do it the most often are small and pricewatch is 99% there traffic so pricewatch has the power to tell them to straighten it out or else.....

pricewatch id dont want to see become a place that sells more then computer goods, it means just that much less room for computer catagorys, its become famouse for computers and should strive to be the best at that only!

god forbid it becomes a shopping.com or any there affiliates type of search engine, I would dread that!

#1 work on making it easyiest to find exactly what were looking for, personally I think thats getting tough on merchants posts and creating more catagorys/sub catagorys.........

I think they might be watching this thread, because now I mentioned the logo being clickable, it is ,and it hasnt been for ages..........

exactly! I get so sick of them changing website design, theyve been playing around with it for YEARS!................

give me back the first design they had way way wayyy back!

pricewatch isnt for your mother.....

ok a few usefull suggestions besides:

A: more catagorys/sub catagorys the better
B: STRICTLY enforce missleading posts, NO searching for 128mb and coming up with 128mb plus .... (we have 256, 512, 1024 in stock to!) just so they can get there post in as many places as possible, its happens in EVERYWHERE on the site....
C: NO used, refurbished, off lease.... stuff in the normal catagorys....
D: make th page larger, more organization, less waisted space, keep it simple!
E: get tough on bad merchants and missleading posts, save the shoper some time
F: the pricewatch logo should lead you back to the homepage
G: View ads by Part Number/Model is useless
H: make the search so it can use quotes for phrases and option for all or any words

I could go on.... maybe later
im emailing them a link to this topic

I used to use it all the time in the late 90s but I stopped going there quite a while ago, their page is still a disaster.

I think I liked it better before. I have to agree, they'd make it a lot better if they somehow enforced products being put in the right catagory.

Not even a half hour later, some web reseller I've never heard of comes charging in at $393.50 for the same card and gets bumped up above the egg in the listings. Some people have far too much time on their hands.

I've found that newegg does the same a lot, and they set their price a bit higher knowing that a lot of people would be willing to spend an extra 5 bucks because newegg is a reputable place. That to me is pretty crappy way to respect your customers. But im sure its great for revenue, and besides, thats what business is all about.

I don't care what it looks like, my biggest problems with PriceWatch:

1. No direct links to the products in the results. So you gotta search unfamiliar cheesy websites for the item and seldom find it at the PriceWatch price

2. hmm, actually the above says it all.

Press "Buy Now" and 99% time takes you to the product directly
