The one that started it all went USA Today.

Color

How long have they been like this...

Hot deal:I can actually search it now and don't get errors.

I only got errors a few times and I always used pricewatch. I actually prefer the version they had a few weeks ago without the color. Plain, simple, and straight forward. No need for pictures.

Give me the plain old, non-cluttered version. This version sucks pee-pee popsicles. It looks like a cheesy wannabe computer "retail" website. Seems as if they're trying to sell you something. Its gross, i want the original back! ;>

Is there any way to use Booleans there? I hate entering in a graphics card or motherboard designation and having to wade through all the low and high cost variants before I get to what I searched for.

I think that a lot of the online sites need to submit better descriptions of products, that would definitely help a lot. I can't tell you how many times i've searched for something and it gives me something related, but isn't what I was looking for (I know it wasn't it because it was way too cheap). It's no problem, I'll just skip a couple pages ahead to get to what I'm really looking for. It's usually accessories or little things that come up first. It's not really a big issue, but I wish they'd write better descriptions so things like that wouldn't happen.

I agree, it's lousy. The search portion seems to be worse. I want the old version back. Newer isn't always better.

Pricewatch and pricegrabber et al are good for checking a price to see if its good, but only some of the time do they have the best prices.

EHH...... still has the same old search problems. Still not enough specific front page categories. Too easy for questionable places who know how people search to get their names up front.

Still have to have reseller ratings open in a second window....................oh! forgot what was the deal?

Heh, it's still amusing how the little-known vendors still try to price-jump the big guys. Example: the other day Newegg lowers their price on a GF6800GT to $394. Not even a half hour later, some web reseller I've never heard of comes charging in at $393.50 for the same card and gets bumped up above the egg in the listings. Some people have far too much time on their hands.

Wow, its like a high school Introduction to Web Design class project...

exactly! I get so sick of them changing website design, theyve been playing around with it for YEARS!................

give me back the first design they had way way wayyy back!

pricewatch isnt for your mother.....

ok a few usefull suggestions besides:

A: more catagorys/sub catagorys the better
B: STRICTLY enforce missleading posts, NO searching for 128mb and coming up with 128mb plus .... (we have 256, 512, 1024 in stock to!) just so they can get there post in as many places as possible, its happens in EVERYWHERE on the site....
C: NO used, refurbished, off lease.... stuff in the normal catagorys....
D: make th page larger, more organization, less waisted space, keep it simple!
E: get tough on bad merchants and missleading posts, save the shoper some time
F: the pricewatch logo should lead you back to the homepage
G: View ads by Part Number/Model is useless
H: make the search so it can use quotes for phrases and option for all or any words

I could go on.... maybe later
im emailing them a link to this topic

Exactly. That is my #1 complaint with Pricewatch. Everything else is minor. There is a distinct category for Radeon 9600 "SE", but clicking on the 'non-SE' category for R9600 produces hits not only for 9600 "SE" but Radeon 9200!

One idiot vendor inserts this in his ad:
Dealer # - 9200SE9600
Man # -9200se 9600
I've sent Pricewatch two detailed comments about this very issue and nothing has changed. If anything, its only gotten worse.

Maybe we could put the AT Effect into action? Everyone come up with actual examples of this and complain.
