Prices on Hardware

Hello All -

I'm new to Anand not to mention the selling/purchasing of goods online so please forgive my ... inexperience?

I was wanting to know how a person would price old hardware ... are there websites for this kind of thing or is everything done on the fly? And does everyone have a scale at home to weigh the items they are going to ship because I've no clue how to calculate shipping costs ...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the search function to broswe the old FS threads.
UPSP Priority is now 3.50 for most items up to 2lb(?) Something heavier like a cdrom/hard drive might cost around 5.00

pricewatch is also a useful tool but might not reflect actual demand. esoteric items might be expensive on pricewatch but you probably won't get a good price here just cuz no one needs it. otherwise, it's a fairly good tool to find street prices. it should be easy to sell used items at 10-20% below pricewatch lows if it's a hot item.

most items outside of cases/monitors can be sent usps. most people seem to deliver priority mail. might wanna consider getting delivery confirmation (40 cents) as well, and insurance is always a good idea (should coast $2.00+ depending on the value of your items).

Sweet. I think just the two responses I've gotten have just about answered all the questions floating around in my head. Thanks again for the replies folks!
