Price trends for 27" IPS 1080P monitors? (NOT WQHD)

Does anyone have any gut feelings or observations on the pricing trends for 27" 1920x1080 IPS displays?

The data at PCPartPicker shows that 27-30" IPS prices are declining,

... but I'm sure the flood of inexpensive 27" 2560x1440 WQHD displays has skewed those statistics.

My gut feeling is that the non-WQHD 27" IPS prices have gone up, but I don't have any data to support that. Is it just me, or is there any truth to this? ;)

i got 3 for like $170 each on black friday

Keep in mind he said those were Black Friday prices.. I picked up an LG 27 IPS for $240 just after the holidays. At 1080p, I would say $225-300 would be a pretty normal price range for a decent 27"

At that price, why not pick up 1440p?

A 27" 1440p would have ran me at least another hundred dollars. I did look at a 24" 1200p display, for roughly the same price as the one I ended up with. In the end, 27" was the size I wanted, and didnt have the need or budget for 1440p. It does look nice though

My monitor is already purchased. While that link could very well be a nice monitor, I prefer not to deal with fleabay and take my chances on a no name brand monitor. Microcenter is close, I was able to see the monitor I picked out in person. Also do not have to worry about the hassle of having to deal with a return if there are any dead pixels.
