The thing is this isn't even a price mistake. If there is some print on that label that refers to GH1 then it doesn't really matter what you were holding in your hand.

The store should have honored the price. If they would get tags/stickers that can not be removed without being destroyed than they would not be able to claim someone else moved the tag. If an employee mistagged the product then they should sell at that price as well. It was not your fault they mistagged and it is not your responsiblity to read the small print on a price tag that is on the item. If I was running the store I would have honered the price and had a talk with the offending clerk who mistagged about how they lost the store the some profit and to be more careful next time. Deals like this usually go"Opps sorry we made a mistake, looks like someone mistagged that item, but since you are a valuable customer I'll go ahead and sell it to you at that price, no need to lose your current and future business because of OUR mistake"
And yes I am a retail manager and deal with this crap all the time.

You must be the shittiest retail manager alive

Thank you for your thoughtful and constructive feedback. I will take your opinions to heart and strive to change my ways to fit inside the parameters you have suggested. It always warms my heart when someone goes out of their way to set me on the right path. Cheers

I think it was more of a factual observation than an attempt to provide feedback.

Fixed!
These are policies passed down from corperate HQ, so I am going to go by what they want rather than some peps on the interwebs. If you had any retail experience you would know that you fight some battles and some you dont. The margin on that sale would have probably broke even so it really would not have been too much of a loss. If on the other hand the tag said something obviously low then we are talking about something different. Sell something at no gain/no loss in the hopes of future business is better than losing ALL future business beacuse you piss someone off who in turns tell everyone. Take care of the customer and they will take care of you. Welcome to world of retail.

I think you are being a little over-sensitive. I was just tweaking your nose regarding your uptight response to Ns1.

In fact, I agree that sometimes the store should just give the customer what he wants, whether in or out of company policy.

GH1 and 2 are $35 online used at EB. GH3 is $90 with guitar, and $50 without, new. Are they really dropping the price $30 on the used version, or what? Some fishy pricing going on here...

That's fantastic. I would call that a thief's wet dream. Price tags can always be changed, your shitty X cut on it doesn't mean SHIT. But hey, your corporate policies are your corporate policies.

I was not aware that it was corporate policy, so I apologize for calling you a shitty retail manager. However, your company has shitty control policies.

everything worked out sweet

I found a used GH3 & wireless guitar for $60 (mint cond) on Kijiji.

Pickin' it up after work!

wot wot

now not only will I get a guitar upgrade (the one I am borrowing from my friend had a broken whammy bar that I had to temporarily fix with the help of a Youtube video and some rubber bands) but I will be able to rock out with the GH3 tunes.

GH3 weekend! TGIF  :music:

yay for games
