I was thinking about gettin a rig and oc'ing it to the 3200+ and I was wondering what the price range on a stable system would be. Also what are the safest brands/models should I be looking at? Thanks.

Well If I was building a complete system today I would go with:

Barton Mobile 2400+ $86.00 (this baby should give you 2.2ghz at stock volts easy and proubly 2.4-2.6 with 1.8V or so
Vantec Aeroflow HSF $30.00
NF7-S 99.99
2x256 PC3200 Mushkin Level One $120
Sapphire ATI 9800Pro $212
120gb WD $90
Fortron 400W PSU $54
What ever case you like: $50-120

All Prices from Newegg

So for about 750 you get a very High end system that would last you for quite a few years.

That's going to depend on how much ram you want, and how fast of a video card you will need. If you only want/need 512mb of ram, and a lower-end video card, you could build a stable system for $500 or less from scratch. Of course, if you already have acceptable components, it would cost you less.

yeah depends on what you need spec-wise for the rest of the system.

ballpark (for stable cpu/mobo/512ram) i'd say would be around ~300ish
