'Price is Right' Announcer Rod "Come on Down" Roddy Dies

Completely unexpected. 🙁

It said he had breast and colon cancer. This may sound stupid but I never knew guys could develop breast cancer. Thought it was just a female thing.

RIP

Can anyone else imagine him in heaven near the gates telling people to "Come on Down!" Would fit him quite well. 🙂

I used to watch that show when I was a kid. I wonder how many dogs and cats have been spade/neutered b/c of that show 😀
 
i waitched the show today and ironically his voice was NOT the one doing the announcing, it was some other guy. i thought these were taped before.

Always used to watch it with grandpa...
It'll never be the same. We have to appreciate Barker while we can.

Have all you people that said you didn't know men could develop breast cancer been living under a rock, or are you just stupid? 😛

We have breasts too. They're just underdeveloped due to the lack of female hormones.

Yeah he hasn't been the voice for the show for awhile now. About 2 weeks ago I remember turning it on at 11 est and not hearing his voice. It just isn't the same without him. Definately be missed. I remember seeing him on Conan about a year to 6 months ago. Didn't look odd at all. Well odder than normal. 🙂

Yeah, like we're all reading the medical journals looking for obscure cancers that will affect men far less than women. That report about Rod Roddy says that there are only 1500 reported cases a year in men, the numbers are FAR higher in women.
